In the late summer of 1994, Brooklyn native Terrance “Rocky” Leary opened his first pizza parlor in South Burlington, VT. Quickly establishing a name for himself and his pizza, “Rocky’s” grew to be Dorset Street’s favorite pizza and one of Chittenden County’s top destinations for New York-Style pies.

In 1999 Rocky and his wife Lisa left South Burlington and opened the Williston location, soon to be followed by a second restaurant in Essex Junction, VT, followed again by the addition of a couple of children to the Leary family. Rocky’s NY Pizza was no longer a small “mom and pop” style restaurant.

Instead, it had arrived on the scene as it had become a family owned business. By 2010 Rocky’s NY Pizza had become an established community presence in two different towns, as well as a booming summer attraction inside the Champlain Valley Fair Grounds.

Looking to continue the family owned concept, the business was sold to John and Logan Howe in early 2011. Bringing a wealth of knowledge from the restaurant business, we seek to bring a fresh taste spin to the great Italian food and pizza that the Williston community has come to love. We hope that you enjoy your food as much as we enjoyed making it, and thanks for stopping by!
